Katelyn Pfeiffer is NJ Leo of the Year

Belvidere, NJ, August 13, 2012 — Leo Katelyn Pfeiffer was named New Jersey Leo of the Year by Lions Clubs International for the association’s 2011-2012 fiscal year. Leo Pfeiffer was recognized for her accomplishments on August 13, 2012, in Belvidere, NJ. Since Leo Pfeiffer became a member in 2009 of the Belvidere High School Leo Club, she has worked on a variety of projects in the local community, such as conducting a food drive for overseas military personal, organizing a leaf raking project for senior citizens, spearheading the pumpkin sling and the construction of a catapult/trebuchet; leading a holiday party for disabled children; and arranging for a school-wide book sale to raise funds for worthy causes. King Kong will be in Belvidere

The Summer Movies in the Park series has finally started and up next on the schedule is the 1933 classic King Kong, this is the one with Fay Wray!
This is a great opportunity to see an all time great movie while hanging out with family, friends and neighbors in a fun park setting.

  • When: roughly 8:45 PM Friday August 3rd
  • Where: The “Belvidere Green” (AKA Garret H Wall Park) – south west corner of the park
  • What you need to know: Admission is free, it is BYOBS (bring your own bug spray), bring seating (chairs, blankets…just be kind to others and don’t obstruct their view), if you have an FM Radio please bring it (we broadcast the movie on 88.7 FM)

Also, this week we will be accepting donations for Matt Bocchino and his family. Matt is a young husband and father that is recovering from a motor cycle accident. Donations are not required to attend the movie.

Movies in the Park

Belvidere Neighborhood Watch is pleased to announce the start of Movies in the Park. Starting Friday, July 20th Belvidere Neighborhood Watch will begin to show movies every Friday evening beginning at dusk. The movies will be family appropriate so bring the kiddos. Our first movie will be the 1985 classic, Goonies. Items worth noting Admission is free. From time to time we may ask for donations to local food banks or to help support one of our local charities, but no one should feel obligated. Bring a FM radio.
